CIS agreed to strengthen cooperation in industry
04.12.2022 | 17:48 |The countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States have agreed to jointly promote the development of high-tech industries, accelerate the modernization of industrial production, and increase exports of competitive, innovative and knowledge-intensive products.
This was reported by the press service of the organization following the results of the 96th meeting of the Economic Council of the CIS countries, during which the Concept of Development and a set of measures for the development of industrial cooperation of the CIS member states were adopted.
Also during the event, representatives of the member countries of the structure reviewed a number of other documents, including the draft Memorandum of Cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of combating fraud (fraud) on telecommunication networks, whose adoption will contribute to improving the effectiveness of the fight in the information space.
The parties also agreed to improve the regulatory framework and look for ways to overcome economic barriers between the countries.
Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, who oversees the economy and finance in the government.
