A new Polish ambassador has been accredited in Ashgabat
30.05.2023 | 00:41 |The Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Turkmenistan Rafal Poborski.
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, she congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his responsible mission. The Ambassador conveyed greetings to the head of Turkmenistan from the leadership of Poland, and stated his country's interest in intensifying bilateral cooperation, the current directions of which were discussed during an official meeting in the Mejlis on Monday.
The Polish diplomat was also familiarized with the key priorities of Turkmenistan's international cooperation and the socio-economic reforms carried out in the country, the structure and activities of the national parliament, its current legislative work. The sides paid attention to the issues of expanding inter-parliamentary contacts on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
Rafal Poborski promised to actively promote the development of a constructive dialogue in the interests of both countries and their peoples.
The state and prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Poland were also discussed earlier on Monday at the Foreign Ministry, where the plenipotentiary of Warsaw, with residence in Baku, handed copies of credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Baashimova.
