Oriented on making people closer

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz on the margins of the second high-level meeting in the “Central Asia-Germany” format in Astana.

Having conveyed greetings from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who stood at the origins of constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that today's first bilateral meeting with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz during the “Central Asia-Germany” dialogue would contribute to further strengthening of Turkmen-German relations, TDH reports.

The Head of the German Government conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, who has made a great personal contribution to the development of Turkmen-German relations, and also noted his country's high interest in further deepening the productive partnership with Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that relations between the two countries are developing on a systematic and long-term basis, relying on a solid legal framework with 90 treaties and agreements.

Noting the systematic nature of the cross-country Days of Economy, business forums and economic exhibitions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the Joint Turkmen-German Working Group and the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, which do a lot for the development of interstate cooperation.
