Turkmenistan Prepares for UN Conference: Foreign Ministry Briefing Reveals Details of LLDC3
18.07.2025 | 21:50 |On July 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing dedicated to the final stages of preparation for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). The event, which will be held from August 5 to 8, 2025 in the Avaza national tourist zone, promises to be one of the largest international events of the year.
The briefing was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as key employees of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry. It was especially emphasized that the upcoming conference is intended to become an effective platform for promoting international cooperation for sustainable development.
Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov noted the exceptional importance of this event, which is held once a decade. He focused on the large-scale preparations that are in full swing. LLDC3 is expected to bring together heads of state and government, heads of international and regional organizations, representatives of legislative bodies, financial institutions, civil society organizations and the private sector from around the world.
In his speech, Deputy Foreign Minister Serdar Mukhammetdurdyev once again emphasized the global significance of the conference, which will be held in picturesque Avaza.
During the briefing, organizational and protocol issues of the event were discussed in detail. Specific proposals were voiced to strengthen the coordination of preparatory work in order to ensure an impeccable level of organization.
