On Monday, November 20, the National Music and Drama Theater of the Turkmen capital gathered lots of music lovers within its walls. The hall was full, and everyone was looking forward to the start of the long-awaited performance of the duo from Germany - pianists Marcel Dorn and Stephan Weh.

Now there is a quiet and cozy gallery of modern art. And in the past, the rhythm of life was set by a factory horn. Under the very ceiling of the hall and now stretches a network of production pipes. But now they are colored and look like huge threads. And it also seems that they are tucked into the machine. In carpet or weaving? It all depends on the theme of the exhibition. Today, for example, there are entirely oriental patterns here.

"The image of Magtymguly in the works of Turkmen composers" - Leyla Babayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Music History of the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory, dedicated her scientific monograph to this topic in honor of the 300th anniversary of the classic.

Young teachers and students of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory performed classical music concerts in Turkmenabat and Mary. The exhibition will introduce the general public to the phenomenon of Russian painting, known only to a few — the Turkestan avant-garde, namely, the works of 1920-1960.

Turkish Culture Days began in Ashgabat on Saturday with the opening of an Ebru exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts. Drawings and paintings in this technique are very individual, effective and unique thanks to the hands of the artist and the technology itself: natural paints are applied to water, the created image is transferred to paper, fabric or other hard surface. International Day of Islamic Art was proclaimed at the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference in 2019 and is observed annually on 18 November.

The IV International Festival “Theatrical Art of the Happy Era” opened in Ashgabat on Tuesday, November 14, with a procession of stage groups from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation (Tatarstan), Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan. The ceremony took place on the square in front of the Main Academic Drama Theater of Turkmenistan.
