Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Turkmenistan M. Amanul Haq on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Ambassador was informed about the socio-economic reforms and comprehensive programs being carried out in Turkmenistan. He familiarized himself with the structure of the Mejlis and its activities, including the practice of establishing inter-parliamentary ties. In this context, the parties expressed their interest in activating ties between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

Discussing the issues of bilateral cooperation, the sides noted the prospects of cooperation in trade and economic sphere. Cultural and humanitarian ties are the foundation and an integral part of the interstate dialog, the conversation said, according to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
