They became worthy successors of a great mentor, enjoyed universal recognition and love of the people, enriched the spiritual life of people and their nation. Ashyk Aydin Pir - the hero of many tales and legends of the peoples of the East. His unsurpassed qualities, clairvoyance, and miraculous power possessed by the patron saint of Bakhshi and Sazanda are described in the famous heroic epic “Gorogly”, included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO, Turkmen Folklore Destans, and Other Famous Works of Oral Folk Art, in the encyclopedia “Myths of the peoples of the world.” There is a passage in Shabende’s destan Shabend, which tells how Ashyk Aydin, blessing his student singer and musician, gives him a dutar.
In 1993-1994, international song and music festivals were held at the mausoleum of the great preacher of folk wisdom, Ashyk Aydin Pir, on the territory of the Dashoguz velayat, in Shakhri-Bosan. Art and cultural figures, popular creative groups and representative delegations from a number of foreign countries, and, of course, Bakhshi, musicians, poets, folklore and dance groups from all regions of Turkmenistan, thousands of lovers and connoisseurs of beauty took part in these music and creativity festivals.
Many unforgettable moments of these creative festivals are reflected in the exhibits presented in a special section of the Bakhshi museum of the city of Dashchoguz. The burial place of the patron of singers and musicians Ashyk Aydin Pir is constantly visited by numerous pilgrims. A mosque was erected in honor of the great preacher of folk wisdom.
On the ancient land of his ancestors, a monument to Ashyk Aydin Pir was erected. And near the mausoleum is a unique monument of His Majesty Dutar. This sculptural dedication to the Turkmen national musical instrument symbolizes the special love of Turkmens for music, worship of ancient musical traditions. Many popular songs that appeared in Turkmenistan in the rich repertoire of bakhshi and musicians are devoted to the patron of singers and musicians Ashyk Aydin Pir. Many talented Turkmen poets have composed poems in honor of his memory. The play “Ashyk Aydin Pir” (author - Jamma Meredov), performed on the stage of the Dashoguz velayat state music and drama theater named after Nurmukhammet Andalib, was also warmly received.
The bright and unforgettable event resulted in a cordial meeting held in the fall of 2016 by the participants of the multi-day horse relay race dedicated to the forthcoming 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which was held next to the Ashyk Aydin Pir Mausoleum. Representatives of the Ruhubelent district of the Dashoguz region, public organizations, creative intelligentsia, the media, cultural and art workers, youth and athletes took part in the ceremonial meeting of riders on the "heavenly" Ahal-Teke horses. The concert program included melodies enchanting the soul, folklore and dance compositions, folk and pop songs. Excerpts from popular destanes, songs to verses of Turkmen classical poets, included in the musical "golden fund", became the spiritual treasury of the Turkmen people, and were sung by Bakhshi.
Every year the flow of pilgrims to the mausoleum of the spiritual mentor increases, attracted by the spirit of the great patron of singers and musicians, blessing people for noble deeds and actions, for the fulfillment of their bright hopes and pure thoughts.
