Oriented on making people closer

The delegation of Tatarstan has already left the Turkmen capital, where the eighth meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, as well as the Turkmen-Tatarstan Business Forum were held on March 15-16.

The fruitful results of the meetings and negotiations caused a wide discussion in the press. ORIENT presents all agreements and plans announced on the sidelines of meetings between the business communities and departments of the two sides.

— Tatarstan company "Eidos-Medicine" offered the Turkmen government to produce service equipment on the territory of the country;

— Tatarstan expressed readiness to improve the skills of specialists of Turkmenistan in all areas and conduct trainings for medical workers;

— Kazan Helicopter Plant intends to deliver two helicopters to Turkmenistan for the healthcare system. We are talking about the Mi-8 and the Ansat light helicopter;

— Tatarstan will share the experience of creating "smart cities" based on the high-tech city of Innopolis created in 2015, attracting the attention of the largest IT companies. The experience will be applied during the construction of the city of Arkadag;

— The Turkmen agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" was offered several variants of dry cargo ships. Tatarstan Shipbuilding Company expressed interest in providing support in shipbuilding;

— The Tatarstan agricultural sector is aimed at entering the Turkmen sales markets, in particular, we are talking about the export of sunflower, edible and rapeseed oil, dairy products of long storage, cheeses.

— Tatarstan company "Elite" is ready to share its experience with Turkmen colleagues in the field of cattle genetics;

— Tatarstan will supply simulators for the medical industry and pharmaceutical structures to Turkmenistan;

— Tatarstan mass media are ready to cooperate with their colleagues from Turkmenistan, including sharing experience, coordinating steps in the field of information;

— The popular Halk Market retail chain in Turkmenistan will cooperate with Tatarstan's Natural health, LLC;

— Kazan universities intend to increase the number of students from Turkmenistan, as well as to train Turkmen youth in high-tech specialties;

— Tatarstan is ready to share its experience in the field of robotics and the production of composite materials. There was also information about the exchange of experience in the field of creating free economic zones.

The experience of the Turkmen-Tatarstan partnership has a rich history: the list did not include traditional meetings and decisions regarding the fuel and energy complex, transport, petrochemistry, chemical industry. The thing is that Kazan and Ashgabat want to build multi-vector ways of relations that would not be limited to fuel and energy issues only.

However, the positive experience of cooperation with Tatneft and KAMAZ will serve as a help for other sectors of the economy. As for the political interconnectedness, then the focus of attention switches to the upcoming events, in which Turkmenistan is also invited to participate: Kazanforum-2023, Russia Halal Expo and planned mutual visits of delegations.
