 Turkmen students won gold, silver and bronze at the Mathematical Olympiad in Romania

From April 9 to 14, 2024, the 18th SEEMOUS Student Olympiad in Mathematics (mathematical Olympiad for students of universities in Southeastern Europe) was held in the city of Iasi, Romania.

Medine Odayeva won the gold medal as a member of the team of the International University of Humanities and Development (Ashgabat) in this prestigious intellectual competition.

In addition, the guys from IUHD took two silver medals - Nurmyrat Atayev and Myratgeldi Annamuhammedov; and two bronzes - Azymgeldi Shihov and Dovletmyrat Esenov. Teachers Pirmyrat Gurbanov and Myrat Chashemov prepared them for the competition.

In total, it turned out to be an excellent result, given that more than a hundred students representing 27 universities from 9 countries competed for prizes.

The SEEMOUS-2024 competition, organized by the Mathematical Society of Southeastern Europe, the Iasi Technical University "Gheorghe Asaki" and the Romanian Mathematical Society, is designed to encourage mathematically gifted university students to further develop and create new, friendly and useful relationships. It was attended by students of the first and second years of undergraduate studies.
