The Independent Eurasian Rating Agency was created and began its work. Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov spoke about this at the BRICS international financial and economic forum held in Moscow.

Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Alexander Torshin became the chairman of the agency's board of directors.

The initiative to establish an Independent Eurasian Rating Agency was put forward by Russian President Vladimir Putin in May 2023.

Andrey Belyaninov believes that such a decision is due to the need for a correct assessment of investments.

“We need to evaluate not only the financial and economic sphere, but also culture and education. In this case, the rating will become a driver for the global development of the Eurasian region,” he noted.
