The economic dialogue between Ashgabat and Beijing is reaching a new peak. At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev reported on preparations for the Turkmenistan-China Business Forum and accompanying exhibition, which will take place at the end of April.
Over 80 government agencies and leading Chinese companies have already registered to participate. And, according to the organizers, this list continues to grow.
The upcoming exhibition in the Turkmen capital will showcase China's latest achievements. The Chinese companies that have announced their participation represent virtually the entire spectrum of modern industry:
Industry: mechanical engineering, energy, and oil and gas;
Infrastructure: construction, transportation, and global logistics;
Future: Digital Systems, Internet Technologies, and the Electronics Industry;
Sustainable Development: Agriculture and Environmental Innovation.
The forum's distinctive feature is its practical focus. It is not simply a showcase of achievements, but a platform for direct negotiations. From the Turkmen side, the dialogue will be attended by heads of key ministries and agencies, and representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
As we previously reported, the main focus will be on integrating Turkmen businesses into global supply chains and attracting high-tech solutions for modernizing the national economy.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that developing trade and economic ties with China is a priority of the country's foreign policy. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure the impeccable organizational level of the events, which should serve as a powerful impetus for new joint projects.
The Ashgabat forum will be a logical continuation of the strategic agreements reached at the highest level. The large gathering of Chinese technology leaders in the capital of Turkmenistan confirms that Chinese businesses see our country not only as a reliable supplier of resources but also as a promising hub for the implementation of digital and industrial innovations in Central Asia.
