The diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan and the United States are preparing for a series of important rounds of talks aimed at giving new impetus to the bilateral partnership. According to the official schedule of the US State Department, as part of the Turkmen delegation's overseas visit, a meeting is scheduled between Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

The talks will take place in Washington later today (US time), which, due to time zone differences, will coincide with early Thursday morning in Ashgabat. They will continue the active consultations the head of Turkmenistan's diplomacy is currently holding on the sidelines of the UN Security Council in New York. The parties are expected to conduct a detailed review of key issues of regional security, economic cooperation, and coordination of efforts in international forums.

In parallel, foreign policy dialogue between the two countries will be further developed in Central Asia as part of the upcoming large-scale international tour of US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Sarah Rogers.

The senior American diplomat is embarking on a two-week regional trip, including visits to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India, and Nepal.

Sarah Rogers's upcoming visit to the Turkmen capital is expected to focus on expanding humanitarian contacts, implementing joint educational and cultural programs, and strengthening public ties, underscoring the multifaceted nature of cooperation between Ashgabat and Washington and the parties' desire to diversify channels of interaction.
