Turkmenistan sambo wrestlers win 11 medals of the Asian Championship

Turkmen athletes won 11 medals during the Sport Sambo and Combat Sambo Asian Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, Mumindjan Arzikulov (under 62-kg weight category) and Lyale Nuriyeva (under 72-kg weight category) won the gold medals. Amina Niyazova (under 44-kg weight category), Tavus Geldimyradova (under 56-kg weight category) and Babadjan Ivadullaev (under 100-kg weight category) won the silver medals. Bronze medals were awarded to Allanur Charyev (under 52-kg weight category), Parahat Byashimov (under 82-kg weight category), Narmyrat Tannyrberdiyev (under 90-kg weight category), Redjepnur Agaev (under 57-kg weight category), Dovletmyrat Cheppeyev (under 74-kg weight category) and Myahri Akmyradova (under 60-kg weight category). Sambo events are included into the programme of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Therefore, the success of Turkmen athletes in Tashkent vividly demonstrates their readiness for the main competitions of the year.
