Green Standards in Education: Turkmen Universities Adopt European ESG Experience

Recently, an international training seminar was held at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (SEIT). The event was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Addressing Environmental Issues, Social Needs and Good Governance in Education and Employment Systems in Central Asia” (ESGCA).
The main objective of the seminar was to enhance the qualifications of teachers at technical universities and promote the integration of modern environmental standards into the educational process.
Professors from leading European universities, including the University of Genoa (Italy) and the Slovak University of Technology, participated in person alongside faculty members and students of SEIT. Representatives of other technical higher education institutions in Turkmenistan joined the discussions online through a specially organized teleconference.
The key focus of the presentations and discussions was the implementation of ESG principles (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in the education system and labor market of Central Asia. International and local experts shared effective approaches aimed at preparing highly qualified engineers capable of addressing modern environmental and industrial challenges.
Graduates of local universities gain up-to-date knowledge that meets European standards, significantly increasing their competitiveness in the job market and improving their employment prospects in modern industrial companies.
