Turkmenistan and the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Outlined Areas for Technological Partnership

On Wednesday, July 15, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Deputy Minister Myahri Byashimova met with Michael Harms, Executive Director of the German Committee on Eastern Economic Relations. During the constructive dialogue, the parties noted with satisfaction the high level of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany, placing key emphasis on deepening trade and economic cooperation.
The interlocutors focused on the prospects for modernizing Turkmenistan's industrial sector through the introduction of advanced German technologies. The parties discussed partnership opportunities in traditional energy, as well as in the transition to renewable energy sources (RES), and the rational use of water resources.

Given Turkmenistan's growing importance as a key logistics hub in Eurasia, German partners expressed strong interest in joint infrastructure development projects. To implement these plans, meeting participants outlined specific steps for cooperation with German financial institutions, aimed at ensuring reliable investment support for future projects.
