Turkmen Pop Artists Performed Georgian Songs at the Opening of Culture Days in Tbilisi
Our country's creative delegation to Georgia presented performances by folk groups, joint projects by museum specialists, and unexpected musical surprises. The Culture Days of Turkmenistan, timed to the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, are being held in Tbilisi to great acclaim.
The creative marathon program opened with a large-scale exhibition of national decorative and applied arts. Residents and visitors to Tbilisi had the opportunity to see rare museum exhibits, antique carpets, and jewelry, as well as admire the works of contemporary Turkmen artists and sculptors.
In addition to the exhibition program, the Culture Days became a platform for professional dialogue. Heads and specialists from the two countries' largest libraries discussed the launch of joint programs to exchange experience and digitize archival collections, while representatives of leading theaters from Turkmenistan and Georgia outlined plans to organize mutual tours and exchange directorial expertise.
The main event of the opening was a festive concert. The Tbilisi audience enthusiastically greeted the performances of Turkmen musicians and dance ensembles. The audience was particularly delighted by the performances of Georgian folk and pop songs by renowned Turkmen soloists in the original language.
