Uzbekistan ranks among top three countries by number of applicants to Moscow universities

Citizens of Uzbekistan have become one of the most active groups of international applicants during this year's admission campaign to Russian universities. According to Russia's Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Uzbekistan ranked third in the number of applications submitted to universities in Moscow, Yuz.uz reports.
Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan also ranked among the top five countries. More than 422,000 international students are currently studying in Russia. The most popular universities among them are the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, and Ural Federal University.
