The TABCA Association Joined the Celebration of the Independence Anniversaries of Turkmenistan and the United States in Washington
WASHINGTON, July 22 | ORIENT. A series of cultural, sporting, and diplomatic events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America took place in the Washington area. The celebrations were organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the United States and the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN, bringing together representatives of the US State Department, academia, think tanks, and the broader Turkmen diaspora.
A special place on the program was given to the Turkmenistan-American Business Cooperation Association (TABCA), created to enhance direct interaction between the business communities of the two countries and firmly establishing itself as a key bridge for economic and humanitarian dialogue.
The central theme of the meetings was the expert roundtable discussion "Turkmenistan-US Partnership: Celebrating Independence, Friendship, and a Shared Future." During the discussion, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the United States, Esen Aydogdyev, and Turkmenistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vepa Hajiyev, presented a comprehensive overview of the status and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres, as well as in multilateral formats.
Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central Asia, Mark Cameron, and former US Ambassador to Ashgabat, Matthew Klimow, commended the current dynamics of relations and the significant potential for developing partnership.
Alongside the diplomatic consultations, the guests viewed an exhibition of Turkmen arts and crafts, traditional clothing, and literature, and participated in a friendly chess tournament and a friendly football match.
For the newly established TABCA, these days opened up additional opportunities to build direct connections with the US diplomatic and business community, as well as with entrepreneurs from the Turkmen diaspora. Viewing them as a natural link between the markets of the two countries, TABCA looks forward to their active involvement in its upcoming commercial and investment projects.
