A representative of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan completed a specialized international course for management staff at the Royal Malaysian Customs Academy (AKMAL) in Malacca for the first time. The educational program, organized as part of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program, focused on modern methods for detecting narcotics and combating trade violations.

The training covered a full range of practical tools: from the use of analytics, risk profiling, and post-clearance audits to the specifics of duty evasion investigations and the rules for working with World Customs Organization modules (WCO CLiKC). Particular emphasis was placed on studying Malaysia's experience in organizing customs control at international airports and seaports, as well as the use of digital systems to prevent false declarations of goods and smuggling.

The agency's first participation in this program laid the foundation for direct professional dialogue between the customs authorities of Turkmenistan and Malaysia, creating a platform for the regular exchange of experience and the implementation of best international practices.
