Turkmenistan Has Confirmed the Dates for the Wheat Sowing and Cotton Harvesting Campaigns
A key stage of the agricultural year is approaching in Turkmenistan's agricultural sector: preparations for the wheat harvest and cotton harvest. The progress of the seasonal campaigns and equipment readiness were discussed at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, where President Serdar Berdimuhamedov officially blessed the start of both important agricultural campaigns.
The winter wheat sowing campaign in the country's regions begins on September 2. At the same time, work on preparing high-quality seed, plowing and leveling the land, and servicing seeders is being completed in the provinces.
The cotton harvest in the regions will begin on September 9. Equipment at reception centers, ginning plants, combines, and trucks has been prepared for the "white harvest." As is customary, the campaigns will be launched by respected elders.
