The 6th World Nomad Games, the year's premier ethnosports and cultural forum, will kick off in Kyrgyzstan on August 31. This event is more than just a competition in traditional sports: today, it has become a powerful tool for branding Central Asia, promoting cultural diplomacy, and developing ethnotourism in the region.

Turkmenistan is participating in the Games, making a significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of the unique heritage of the peoples of the East. A key aspect of the Turkmen athletes' participation will be the national wrestling, Goresh, which has officially been included in the competition program.

The World Nomad Games serve as a modern platform for soft power, where high-performance sports are intertwined with a parallel ethnocultural program—crafts, folklore, and indigenous traditions. For Turkmenistan, this is an opportunity not only to compete for medals in traditional disciplines but also to strengthen the region's image as a unified cultural and civilizational space capable of setting global trends in the preservation of humanity's intangible heritage.

The Games will also feature the International Scientific Conference "Nomadic Civilizations: Heritage, Paradigms, and Prospects," dedicated to various areas of nomadic civilization research—from their role in world history to contemporary issues of sustainable development, digitalization, and cultural heritage preservation.

The Center for Nomadic Civilization is hosting the "Tales of the Great Mountains" exhibition, walkways of stone and sand sculptures, tours, master classes in painting, graphics, sculpture, and ceramics, an exhibition of ancient Kyrgyz armor, and a fire show called "The Secret of Khan Tengri."
