National Pet Month is observed annually during the month of April in the United Kingdom. National Pet Month’s aims are to make people aware of the benefits of pets for people and people for pets and raise awareness of responsible pet ownership through educational campaigns animal, welfare charities, entertainment competitions, etc. Animal Health National Agency and Pet Food Manufacturing Association are the sponsors of this movement. Under their auspices, many activities aimed at promoting good pet ownership, increase public awareness of services available from professionals who work with animals as well as raising awareness of the role, value and contribution to society of working companion animals take place from April 1 to May 7.Arslan KEMALOV
Pet Month is attracting variety of organizations and people across the UK. For example, London bar Smith & Whistle has created a new unusual permanent menu just for dogs.
The bar 'dogtail' menu consists of four types of cocktails, which are not only delicious, but also nutritious. The liquid treats include such useful ingredients as mint, broccoli, coconut water, ginger.
Each drink will be available in different portion sizes to allow owners to match a serve according to the size of their pet. Bruno Castro, bar manager at Smith & Whistle, said: “We’ve worked to make sure each of our ‘dogtails’ contribute to the essential nutrients needed by different breeds. We have drinks that promote glossy and healthy coats and ingredients that aid digestion.”
Such an unusual menu will be available during the month of April.
