Berdimuhamedov approved the program for the development of transport diplomacy
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the Program for the Development of Transport Diplomacy until 2025 during a meeting of the government of Turkmenistan on Friday.
The transport and communication agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministries of finance, justice, trade and foreign economic relations, the State Border Service and the Central Bank have been determined as coordinating bodies for its implementation.
The draft of this document was presented to the head of state by Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov, who said that the measures provided for by the Program are aimed at a large-scale renewal of the material and technical base of the transport systems of Turkmenistan and at the development of the legal platform of this area, international cooperation, and the preparation of the Road Transport Code of the country, etc.
The document also plans to work on the accession of Turkmenistan to the Program of international cooperation between the EU and partner countries on the organization of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor.
