Registration of candidates for the presidency of Turkmenistan has begun

On Tuesday, February 15, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan held a meeting at which Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, nominated by the Democratic Party of the country, was registered as a candidate for the highest state post.

The meeting was attended by members of the Central Election Commission and the chairman of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, according to a press release from the CEC.

Registration of candidates continues. The presidential elections in Turkmenistan will be held on March 12, 2022.
