Turkmenistan fulfilled the plan for the export of natural gas in January-February 2022 by 114.7%, and for its production - 105.9%, LNG production - 108.8%. In general, the fuel and energy sector of the country demonstrates stable performance.

As Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov reported at a government meeting on Friday following the results of the first two months, oil was extracted (100.8%) and processed (110.3%), gasoline (117.8%), diesel fuel (116%), lubricating oils (111%), polypropylene (118.9%) was produced on top of the plan.

Nevertheless, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated the insufficient growth dynamics in a number of positions in the oil and gas industry and ordered to determine the constraints and stimulate the capabilities of the complex.

At the government meeting, Abdrakhmanov also presented project investment proposals for the 2nd stage of the development of the Galkynysh gas field, in which Chinese partners are involved. The proposals are developed in accordance with the law of Turkmenistan "On hydrocarbon resources" on the basis of the Agreement for services at risk.
