Novelties in import substitution – from Turkmen entrepreneurs
Private companies and enterprises of Turkmenistan present their goods and services at the annual exhibition of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, which opened on Tuesday in Ashgabat, and they focus on expanding the import-substituting segment. And what successfully replaces imports today may well be another export direction tomorrow.
Thus, the country's well-known brand "Aýdyň Gijeler", specializing in the electronics industry, among other innovations, launched the production of new generation road signs - they are equipped with solar panels and glow in the dark, and also launched the production of traffic lights.
Among the debutants of the exhibition is the individual enterprise "Adyl açar", which presents an electronic training platform created by domestic specialists for the first time. This is a platform where anyone can attend free online courses, both in the school curriculum and in various other areas.
Both the leading players of the Turkmen market and start-ups, large companies and micro-enterprises demonstrate their new products. The range of products is the widest: aluminum radiators from Derya Plastik, ballpoint pens from Gündogar şöhlesi and hazelnut chocolate paste from Parahat.
There are more and more individual enterprises in the country producing building and finishing materials from local raw materials, and growing competition is forcing business owners to improve the quality of products and introduce more and more new types into its assortment. IP "Sapaly jaý" first appeared at the UIET exhibition with its products for facade and interior decoration, as well as paving works.
Bereketli, however, needs no introduction and, nevertheless, constantly updates its product lines - recently they have been replenished with lamb roll, chicken basturma, smoked beef tongue and other delicacies.
And also a variety of leather goods, goods for school and sports, shoes. For the first time, the Fazyl trademark was presented at the exhibition - among the products of this Dashoguz company, school backpacks with an unusual design attracted general attention - Turkmen proverbs and sayings about the importance of knowledge are written on them.
For the third year in a row, there has been a boom in hygiene products and detergents, and Täç Hil is trying to please consumers with a wide range of flavors and formats of soaps, wet wipes, antibacterial sprays, etc.
In general, about 200 exhibitors work at the current UIET exhibition, covering such business areas as agro-industrial complex and fish farming, food industry and confectionery industry, household appliances and furniture, construction and building materials, paint and varnish, glass, polymer, textile products, electrical equipment and tools, printing, logistics... And, of course, carpets! Classical and plot, traditional and unusual.
