Tajikistan and Turkmenistan discussed the possibility of creating a joint venture for oil refining

The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Farrukh Sharifzoda met with the Director General of CJSC Turkmen National Oil and Gas Company (NAPECO) Maksat Pirliev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral trade and economic relations and exchanged views on the establishment of a joint venture for the processing of oil and petroleum products, as well as their supplies to Tajikistan.
In 2021, Turkmenistan launched the export of liquefied gas to Tajikistan, by the end of last year the supply of LNG amounted to about 5 thousand tons of liquefied gas, Dushanbe announced its intention to increase purchases.
