The V International Tashkent Marathon will host over 5 thousand participants
The jubilee, V International Tashkent Marathon, which is scheduled to the Novruz holiday, will host 5,500 participants, reports Yangi Uzbekistan. The marathon will take place on March 12.
The competition will be held in four distances - 42 km 195 m, 21 km 97.5 m, 10 km and 3 km and will become a qualification for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Athletes and runners from 22 countries have already submitted their applications to participate in the marathon.
The Tashkent International Marathon is included in the World Athletics competition calendar and is held in accordance with strict regulations. Its route is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Runs AIMS.
This year, the organizers are aiming to hold a similar event, in particular, the equipment of the participants was made of recycled material. The Organizing Committee also received BYD test electric vehicles.
