Turkmenistan met the participants of the motorcycle race "Caspian is the Sea of Friendship"
Participants of the Caspian is Sea of Friendship motorcycle race, which started on April 1, were met in Turkmenistan, Astrakhan24 reports. They covered almost two thousand kilometers with short stops at gas stations.
The motor rally was headed by the Governor of the Astrakhan region of Russia Igor Babushkin. In Turkmenistan, the participants of the action will hold a number of official meetings to discuss the expansion of partnership.
The motorcycle rally opens up new prospects for strengthening cooperation between the Caspian countries. In particular, the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev is aimed at expanding the partnership. Rector of the University Konstantin Markelov announced the possibility of developing a partnership in the field of marine robotics for monitoring the Caspian Sea.
The Astrakhan governor and activists of the motorcycle movement will overcome the road with a length of almost 5 thousand kilometers on motorcycles in ten days. The run will end on April 11.
