President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko proposed to CIS partners to transform the judicial sphere in a coordinated manner. He said this at a meeting with representatives of the supreme courts of Russia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, who arrived in Minsk as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Court of Belarus, BelTA reports.

"We can carry out many transformations in the sphere of judicial activity synchronously and in concert," Lukashenko said, stressing that the countries closely cooperate in various fields of activity, including within the framework of international obligations under the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to Lukashenko, the countries have already taken the right step in strengthening cooperation in the judicial sphere by establishing the Council of Chairmen of the Supreme Courts of the CIS states on the initiative of the Supreme Court of Belarus. This, in turn, will make it possible to coordinate the approaches of the countries in the field of justice.
