The International Investment Forum opened in Arkadag
The International Investment Forum "Arkadag — Smart City", organized by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, has started its work.
"The International Forum will become a wonderful platform for the exchange of constructive ideas and proposals designed to identify and promote promising ways to attract financial resources, and will also have a significant impact on increasing the pace of industrialization of Turkmenistan and investing in the diversification of its economy, on the implementation of priority programs to increase the output of products in demand on the world market," President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in welcome address to the delegates.
The Forum is designed to bring together as many interested parties as possible to demonstrate the investment potential of the first city of national importance in Turkmenistan.
The main topics for discussion are prospects for sustainable development and new technologies in cities, digital infrastructure and innovative solutions for smart cities.
Among the speakers from the Turkmen side were Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dovletgeldi Rejepov, Mayor of Arkadag Shamuhammet Durdylyyev, Minister of Finance and Economy Serdar Jorayev, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Dovran Hudayberdyyev, Deputy Director of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annayev, Chairman of the "Turkmenaragatnashyk" Agency Hajymyrat Hudaygulyyev and others.
At the level of heads, deputy heads, heads of departments, all key departments and leading universities of the country are represented at the forum.
Among the foreign speakers is the UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, Deputy General and Managing Director of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Industrial Development of the United Nations (UNIDO) Chong Joon, Head of the Permanent Mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Turkmenistan Artur Andrisyak, Secretary General of the Union of Chambers of Commerce of the Turkic States Adem Kul, Head of the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific Brun Derkon and others.
Representatives of Turkmen and foreign companies, including American John Deere, British JCB UK, will also speak. The well-known international business coach Saidmurod Davlatov is also invited to participate in the forum. An exhibition of domestic business products has been organized on the sidelines of the international investment forum.
