Employees of the border services and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan took part in a seminar on human rights and gender equality issues.

The seminar was held on July 17-18 with the organization of the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), which is funded by the European Union.

Experts of the State Border Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Red Cross familiarized the participants with the international legal framework in the field of human rights protection, methods and tools for identifying vulnerable persons and signs of gender-based violence in the context of migration. In this regard, the role of public organizations in this issue was emphasized.

The participants consolidated the knowledge gained in theory through practical situational exercises.
