Slovak chemists from the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the Slovak University of Technology Ivan Shpanik and Lyudmila Khvalbota held a series of lectures for students of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Master classes were held within the framework of the European Erasmus+ program.

In turn, Turkmen teachers of the oldest Turkmen university visited STU, where they studied the experience of foreign colleagues. There, TSU representatives got acquainted with the rules of operation of the equipment during the training “Gas chromatography and its application”, the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports.

The control of the content of useful substances and toxic impurities with the help of appropriate analysis in laboratory conditions became the central topic of a large-format course of colleagues from the two countries. In addition, the issues of detecting falsifications and assessing the requirements being fulfilled in the food production were discussed.

Within the framework of the EU program, the Turkmen University actively cooperates with other universities and structural units, including the European Commission on Education, Audiovisual Media and Culture (EACEA). All courses and lectures are held in English.

TSU is also actively working on the project “New Courses in geospatial Engineering for adaptation of coastal ecosystems to climate change” (GEOCLIC) and “Human development of the water sector in Central Asia to increase resilience to climate change and support sustainable development, peace and security” (HWCA).
