Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahallyev met on Monday with Ambassador of Tajikistan to Ashgabat Vafo Alibek Niyatbekzoda.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and development of cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, agriculture, healthcare, industry, science and education and expressed satisfaction with the process of expanding relations between the two countries, the Tajik Foreign Ministry reports.

In May of this year, during the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Dushanbe, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan signed a large package of documents, including the Declaration on Deepening Strategic Partnership, intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in the field of healthcare, veterinary medicine, cybersecurity, plant quarantine, road maps cooperation in the fields of agriculture and transport, etc.

Recently, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin paid a working visit to Ashgabat, he was received by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
