SCO Secretary General invited to summit of CIS heads in Bishkek
Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming has been invited to participate in a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, Secretary General of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev told reporters.
"We have now established good contacts with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. As Secretary General, I regularly meet with Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming," he said.
According to Lebedev, the next meeting will be held on September 27 in Beijing.
"He has also been invited to a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Bishkek on October 13," the CIS Executive Committee Secretary General said.
The Secretary General of the Executive Committee clarified that "the topics will be important."
"Traditionally, within the framework of the Council of Heads of State, a very lively and confidential exchange of views on issues of our interaction is held.
