Afghanistan exported fresh grapes to Russia for the first time


Afghanistan exported 2,000 cases of fresh grapes to Russia for the first time through the port of Haritan, the Chamber of Commerce of the northern Balkh Province said on Sunday.
On Saturday, fresh grapes were transported by refrigerated trucks to Uzbekistan through the port of Haritan province, and from there to Russia, head of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Asadullah Asadi said, adding that over the past few months, goods exported from Afghanistan to neighboring countries have increased.
The main exports of fresh and dry fruits from Afghanistan are mainly to India and Pakistan.
Afghanistan has also increased its exports to Central Asian countries this year, including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, according to the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
