The film tells about the life of entrepreneur Adi Dassler from a poor German family and how he built his sports "empire" Adidas. The series will also show the reason for the discord with his brother Rudolf, the founder of another popular sports brand Puma, Variety writes.

According to the draft synopsis, the story will be shown through the eyes of Dassler's eldest daughter, Inge. Nils Juul, producer of such famous films as "Ferrari" and "Killers of the Flower Moon", is working on the project. He describes the spirit of the future picture as a "non-standard intersection" between the TV series "The Heirs" and "The Crown". According to him, this is not only a "tense and exciting family drama", but also a story about how "a farsighted man defied the conditions of his time."

The producer also considers it important to shed light on memorable moments from the world of sports. A total of 12 episodes are planned for the first season. The project is at an early stage of development and the release date of the mini-series has not yet been disclosed.
