Turkmenistan national tennis team begins its journey in the Davis Cup
The matches of the IV group of the Asia and Oceania zone of the Davis Cup tennis will be held in the Turkish city of Antalya. The national team of Turkmenistan will take part in these competitions, which will compete for entry into group III. The Turkmen tennis players will hold their first match against rivals from Kyrgyzstan.
In total, 8 teams participate in Group IV, which are divided into two subgroups. The national team of Turkmenistan got into group "B" together with the teams of Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan and Guam. The teams of Syria, Iraq, the UAE and Singapore will play in group "A".
The Turkmenistan national team consists of five tennis players: Melis Orazmukhamedov, Yuri Rogussky, Atly Murad Kurbanov, Hadji Charyev and Gurbanberdy Gurbanberdyev. The captain and head coach of the team is Mirali Hasanov.
The Turkmenistan national tennis team was preparing for the Davis Cup at the training camp, which was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
