The next competition for the award of the President of Turkmenistan "Türkmeniń Altyn asyry" among the figures of literature, culture and art has been announced. The decree was signed by the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday, during a meeting of the Turkmen government.

According to the document, citizens of other countries can also take part in the competition. The winners will be determined by individual nominations.

Within the framework of the main creative competition, several more contests have also been announced: among young people – on the theme "The Ocean of wisdom of Magtymguly, Pyragy" (Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy), among amateur singers – "Sing, my Fatherland" (Aañlan, Diýarym!), among dutarists – "Play, bakhshi" (Çalsana, bagşy!) and a competition among gifted children – "Pearls of Independence" (Garaşsyzlygy? merjen däneleri).
