The official welcoming ceremony of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on an official visit to Turkey, took place in the Presidential Complex of Ankara.
The distinguished guest was welcomed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
After the heads of state took their places on the ceremonial platform, the national anthems of the two countries were played. The Presidents walked along the guard of honor, and then introduced their delegations to each other.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan were photographed in front of the flags of Turkmenistan of Turkey and proceeded to the Presidential Complex. The negotiations of the heads of state began with a one-on-one meeting and will continue with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.
Following the talks, agreements are expected to be signed and a joint press conference of the presidents is expected.
