Turkmenistan and China discussed improving scientific and technical cooperation


The first meeting of the Subcommittee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the Chinese-Turkmen Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee was held in Beijing.
The Turkmen side was headed by President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Allaberdy Ashirov, the Chinese side by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China Zhang Guangzun.
The parties got acquainted with the current state of scientific, technical and innovative activities in Turkmenistan and China, and considered the prospects for building up bilateral partnership in this direction.
Thus, the participants agreed to interact in the field of scientific research, exchange of scientific personnel, and expand scientific cooperation between Turkmenistan and the PRC in the field of cybersecurity.
Following the meeting, a corresponding Protocol was signed.
The Turkmen delegation also included rector of the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan Gurbanmurat Mezilov, Director of the Center of Technology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Durdymyrat Gadamov, Director of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Hallymyrat Ataev, Director of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Guljemal Saryeva, Director of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Davut Orazsakhatov.
