Zimbabwe's Ambassador to Turkmenistan officially assumed his duties


Ambassador of Zimbabwe Bright Kupemba presented his credentials to Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, during a meeting in the national parliament on Thursday, December 7.
The speaker congratulated the ambassador on his assumption of office on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, wishing him success in his mission. In a conversation with a diplomat, she described the main aspects of the domestic policy and foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan, based on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness and constructive cooperation with all countries, including the African continent. This was reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Radio and Television.
Particular attention in the conversation was paid to the possibilities of bilateral cooperation, including through parliament. The diplomat was familiarized with the activities of the Mejlis in legislative support of socio-economic programs and democratic reforms in the country.
Turkmenistan and the Republic of Zimbabwe established diplomatic relations by signing a joint communique on March 22, 1999.
