Belarus to completely cover forests with video surveillance system

By March 1 next year, Belarus will cover all forests with an automatic video surveillance system by 100%. This was announced by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic Alexander Kulik.

According to him, Belarus will become the first such country in Europe. Thanks to this system, there were no special problems with forest fires in the country.

At the end of November, Belarus hosted a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on the Timber Industry and Forestry among the CIS member states. The participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the organization of forest protection from fires.
