A Christmas book fair was held in Ashgabat

On a clear Saturday afternoon, December 23, a book fair was held in the Turkmen capital, organized by the delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan. The event was timed to coincide with the upcoming holidays — Christmas and New Year, and gathered more than six hundred book lovers.

The book exhibition was held in the open air, in the courtyard of the Delegation's office, where a small buffet and Christmas carols in the languages of the EU countries were waiting for the guests. Many of them were played at a recent concert of the children's choir, also organized by the diplomatic mission.

The "distinctive sign" of the event was the book exchange point, as well as the sale of books as part of the charity event "Give Good".

Located in an open space, the fair became an excellent platform for networking: people got to know each other, sang together and even danced – the meeting definitely charged everyone with a festive mood and did not leave any book lover indifferent.
