260 operations were carried out with funds from the Charitable Fund for Helping Children in Need of Care
On Saturday, December 23, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a working meeting in the city of Arkadag on the results of activities for 2023 and the upcoming tasks of the Charitable Foundation to assist children in need of care.
As noted at the meeting, 260 operations were carried out at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Foundation, as well as intensive inpatient treatment courses, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and preventive examinations of children, the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio reported.
A number of medical institutions in the regions of the country, boarding schools and orphanages are provided with the necessary medical supplies and equipment, and ambulances. Interactive whiteboards were purchased for orphanages, and laptops were given to orphans upon graduation. In addition, the Charitable Foundation presented gifts to children on the occasion of significant dates, as well as to athletes who have achieved high results in international competitions.
Humanitarian assistance was provided to children affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Afghanistan, from floods in the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation, as well as children in Ukraine and Palestine.
During the meeting, the appeal of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan to allocate 200 thousand US dollars from the Fund’s funds for the purchase of consumables for the diagnosis and treatment of children in need of care was approved.
After the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center for a New Year's event, where he presented gifts to the children and took photographs with them as a remembrance.
