The Association of Cinematographers of the Turkic World was created in Tashkent
On the initiative of the international organization TURKSOY, the Union (Association) of Cinematographers of the Turkic World was created in Tashkent. The founding meeting was attended by leaders of the film industry of Turkic-speaking countries.
The association was created to revive the cinematic art of the Turkic world, create joint film projects, joint productions of new films, as well as to bring the best films to the international arena, and create a unified film distribution system for films from Turkic-speaking states.
One of the priorities is to raise the level of the Tashkent International Film Festival and the Korkut-Ata International Film Festival to world standards.
In the future, it is planned to create a Film Academy of the Turkic World, which will become a platform for joint film projects of the Turkic peoples, yuz.uz reports.
