Turkmenistan's achievements have been recognized by international organizations
At the final International Scientific and Practical Conference held in Ashgabat on Wednesday, December 27, the main successes and achievements of Turkmenistan in 2023 were formulated. A number of them were also noted by international organizations, which was announced during the forum and marked by the presentation of relevant certificates at its thematic sessions.
And first, at the plenary session, the UNDP Permanent Representative in Turkmenistan, Narine Sahakyan, handed over a letter of thanks to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for providing assistance to children in need of care from the UNICEF representative office in Turkmenistan.
Further, during the industry sections, a certificate was awarded for the efforts of the Government of Turkmenistan towards universal health coverage by ensuring access to high-quality medicines, continuity and quality of medical services for all; three certificates of the supranational Gauting Reference Laboratory (Munich, Germany) confirming the quality of molecular tests of the Centralized Laboratory of the Directorate of Infectious Diseases Centers certificate of international accreditation of the laboratory of the Central Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination as part of the Morphological Center.
Riri Fitri Sari, Head of the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking rating agency, presented certificates confirming the inclusion of eight universities of Turkmenistan in the international UI GreenMetric World University Ranking. Among them: the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldi Kakayev, the Oguzhan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Agricultural University, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications, the State Energy Institute, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
In addition, the International Chess Federation noted Saparmyrat Atabayev, who fulfilled the requirements for obtaining the title of international grandmaster.
Certificates confirming the inclusion of the object "The Great Silk Road: Zarafshan-Karakum Corridor" and the multilateral nomination "Turanian Deserts of the Temperate Zone" in the UNESCO World Heritage List were also handed over at the conference.
The International Quality Award - Quality Achievements Awards 2023 – was awarded to the State Concern Turkmengaz, which was congratulated by the Director General of the European Society for Quality Research Michael Harris via video link.
The Turkmensvyaz Agency also received an international certificate and diploma for its success in promoting digital transformation in the private sector of Turkmenistan, developing the digital economy and supporting the intellectual youth of the country.
The Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship repair plant was awarded by Bureau Veritas Marine Kazakhstan, the Turkmenavtotransport agency was awarded by the representative office in Central Asia of the certified Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK, and Turkmen Railways was awarded by the Organization for International Railway Cooperation.
