The Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan urged compatriots to respect and appreciate tourists
Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev on his social media page called on the citizens of the country to contribute to the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan.
"Dear friends, dear colleagues, citizens of Kyrgyzstan! On behalf of myself and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, I cordially congratulate you on the upcoming New Year, 2024! I decided to make an important statement about the tourism industry of our country," Tazabek quotes congratulatory statement by the minister.
"We all know very well that the tourism industry in developed countries has proven itself very well. Take, for example, fraternal Turkey or Dubai, without going too far. More than 40 million tourists visit Turkey every year. Calculate for yourself how much money comes into the country's treasury from the same tourism industry.
As for Dubai, the number of local residents is about three million people. And the number of tourists exceeds 15 million. Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Filipinos and not only shepherds. The attitude of the locals is so good that so many tourists flock to Dubai.
That's why the tourism industry is booming. And what about us?" the Minister of Economy reflects.
In his opinion, every foreign student or every tourist is a direct investor, as they spend money on food, sightseeing, etc.
"When we see tourists, we must treat them with respect," Amangeldiev writes. "As we change our attitude, how we treat tourists, the tourism industry is starting to move forward."
He noted that all countries that strive for development "dream and pray" for tourists to come to them, try to create all conditions for them, because they know well how tourism benefits. The Minister called on compatriots to switch to a respectful attitude towards students and tourists from other countries. "That's when tourism in Kyrgyzstan begins to spread around the world. Tourists are attracted by wonderful places that we are proud of. Then tourism in Kyrgyzstan will take a step towards development! Let's all contribute to the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan!" he said.
