An article by the Turkmen Ambassador to Qatar dedicated to the motto of the year in Turkmenistan has been published
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, published an article in one of the leading Arab newspapers Al Sharq in honor of the announcement of 2024 in Turkmenistan as the year of “The Storehouse of the Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy”.
In his article, the diplomat emphasizes the significant role of the creative heritage of the great thinker and poet, whose birth this year marks 300 years.
A clear evidence of the global recognition of Magtymguly’s work is the announcement of 2024 by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) as the "Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world – Magtymguly Pyragy”, as well as the inclusion of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Pyragy’s birth in the UNESCO List of Significant Dates in 2024-2025.
Al Sharq is Qatar’s most widely read newspaper, published daily in Arabic. It is one of the three leading Arab newspapers in the country and has the largest circulation in Qatar. This status has been repeatedly recognized by international research agencies such as PARC (Palo Alto Research Center Incorporated) and the global IPSOS research company headquartered in France.
