The book of the President of Turkmenistan is presented at the CIS headquarters in Minsk
A meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth Member States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth under the chairmanship of the Russian Federation was held at the CIS headquarters in Minsk on Tuesday, January 23.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev and his deputies, as well as the leadership of the Economic Council in Moscow using videoconference.
During the event, in accordance with the additional items previously included in the agenda of the meeting by the Embassy of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other CIS bodies Nazarguly Shagulyev made introductory reports.
During the first report, Shagulyev told the participants of the meeting that in connection with the 300th anniversary of the classical poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy and in order to popularize his literary and philosophical heritage in the world, 2024 was declared the year of "The Storehouse of Reason of Magtymguly Pyragy" in Turkmenistan. The Ambassador stressed the high humanistic and patriotic value of the poet's work and informed about the preparation of a number of international events in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the anniversary date.
During the next report, Shagulyev presented the first book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, "Youth is the support of the Motherland" ("Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy"), briefly revealing its content and noting the focus of the work on the upbringing of a patriotic, highly educated, broad–minded young generation.
The Ambassador's speech was accompanied by a demonstration of thematic videos prepared by the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus.
